Ahhh, chainmail! My friend, my enemy. Fun stuff. Right now this page doesn't have much on it, except pictures of the work I've done thus far. Most of my work has been done with 4-in-1 weave, but I have done one little patch of 6-in-1. Pictures follow.

Normal 4-in-1
This is a normal sample of 4-in-1 weave. Most of my work consists of this sort of thing. It's very simple to make and is pretty easy to weave. I'll write up some instructions sometime for the curious.

Normal 6-in-1
This, on the other hand, is 6-in-1 weave. IT'S NOT FUN. Granted, I realized after I made this piece how I could have done it easier, but alas this is not the weave for the beginner. It takes twice as long to make as 4-in-1, but the results are much better. Not only does it look nicer, but it feels nicer and offers more protection in the realistic sense.

FrontFront
This is the front and back of the coif that I recently completed. This took WAY TOO MANY HOURS of work to finish, but the results I'm happy to say I'm proud of.

Edge
This picture shows off the shiny edge that I weaved into the coif. The rest of the piece is made of black links whereas the edges are silver.

This is the piece in action...well, being worn rather, or held in my hand. The masterpiece! I'm not sure how much of a masterpiece it is, but it's definitely interesting, to say the least.
